We are an Irish scout troop based out of in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Ireland. We're a member of Scouting Ireland. Scouting Ireland is a multi-denominational, co-educational, youth based association  across the entire island of Ireland. We have our own scout den and our own grounds just by the sea. We offer weekend activities and weekly meetings to young people between the ages of 5 and 21. We have a long history in the community of Blackrock. Between our different age groups we teach Scouting skills such as pioneering, hiking, rock climbing, backwoods survival training, sailing, canoeing, first aid and other really useful skills.

Our scout den is available to be rented out by scouting and non-scouting groups alike. Our den just recently re-developed has central heating, a large meeting hall kitchen and toilets. Fire Pit Weekend

We arrived down at the den on Thursday 1st, Tony, Emma, Conor and I (Kevin) started to plan the weekend. The plan, if you can call it a plan since we kinda just winged it, was to dig a pit, build a giant fire in it and cook way too much meat for us to eat. AIB Better Ireland Programme

We won! We won! We won! Just in case anyone hasn’t heard yet, we won €5000 in the AIB Better Ireland Programme, we had more than 1000 more votes than the other two groups. Thank you to all those who voted, it was well worth the effort.
