The Tracker Section
The Blackrock Tracker Scouts takes children from 1st class to 3rd class. We have two sections one section meets on a Tuesday and the other on a Wednesday evening. Once a month the two sections take part in a weekend activity together. Tracker scouts is an introduction to the scouting way! The children enjoy games and activities based on the scouting programme. This year (2009) we have been camping in our newly refurbished den, gone hiking up a mountain, orienteering, had a christmas party , learnt various knots (and how to use them), 1st Aid, how to treat the country side etc.. We are looking forward in 2010 to bowling, crab fishing, more hiking, and most of all to our end of year out-door camp in June (2009), which the children really enjoy.
